Fentanyl and other synthetic opioids are the most common drugs involved in overdose deaths. Even in small doses, it can be deadly and numerous people die every day from overdoses related to synthetic opioids like fentanyl. Rates of overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids other than methadone, which includes fentanyl and fentanyl analogs, increased over 56% from 2019 to 2020. The number of overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids in 2020 was more than 18 times the number in 2013. More than 56,000 people died from overdoses involving synthetic opioids in 2020. The latest provisional drug overdose death counts through June 2021 suggest an acceleration of overdose deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic; hence, the need to inform people on the perils of fentanyl.

Fentanyl Awareness is a nonprofit organization with the responsibility of educating people on the dangers fentanyl poses to the society and how to overcome them. We seek to carry out voluntarily actions in creating awareness regarding the hazards of the drug so as to help save the lives of people in our communities and the world at large. We are also particular about helping people who are struggling with the addition of fentanyl to overcome it and become better persons in the society.
